New Years Post and Fanart List 2007
Well, this year has certainly been a more than productive year fandom-wise. I have never produced so many pieces of fanart or had my style improve so much though hopefully the count and quality will only increase and not decrease. I think the increase in productivity is due in large part to prophecy and new fandom friends and acquaintances.

-----Harry Potter Fanart-----

First, there was the two comics for the opening of the winter Snarry Games (All's Fair in Love and War and Easter Madness) I still love these they were so much fun to draw and Love and War was something I've wanted to do for a long time. After that came Prophecy and lots of drawbles, some that I think I'd be ashamed to admit I did (oh god the horrid anatomy for some of the characters *shudders*).

Though good thing about Prophecy is that it left me with lots of energy and the urge to draw and so came the long promised addition to Easter Madness here. After that I did two pieces of Killing Ginny crack!art for </a></strong></a>[info]tripperfunster one, the Wedding Dress, I like in a this is actually funny crack without being to crude way but the other, Dark Rituals, is well... it fails under the "Holy crap, that's wrong even for you" category and really I have no idea what I was thinking *shakes head*.

At the end of the summer I went full out on my Snarry Games entry (Harry Potter and the Scenes from Canon)and I must say I'm proud of the way it turned out even if it was a little rushed due to uni and my program being very evil. It's the longest comic I've produced to date and it was so much fun piecing together my chosen scenes (really canon was way over due for a snarry rework). Right after, I started on the first of my birthday drabbles. I did three this year for </a></strong></a>[info]the_con_cept (IJ), </a></strong></a>[info]xterm (IJ) and </a></strong></a>[info]dementordelta (IJ).

The next big thing was my entry for </a></strong></a>[info]snarry_holidays, the Compass, which was a lot of fun. I love it for all the thinking that went into find the perfect gift and finally finding it, that was really a new hight of fluff and romance for me.

The last of the fanart for this year was the two request drawbles I did. One, I've Got Your Pet, What Have You?, was far from satisfactory mostly in the concept and Neville, who I can not draw properly. The other, A Field of Flowers, is lacking background wise but I love my Snape and Harry. Their expressions and features have really come a long way, I think it shows that I've really gotten my Snape down though I suppose Harry needs a bit of work.

----Naruto Fanart-----

Really I curse the day I decided it would be a good idea to watch the anime over again cause naturally it was unfinished but over flowing with slashy hints that lead me directly to reading the fanfiction. Oh well... at lest it was some what productive in the fanart category. Though my venture into it will always pale in comparison to my obsession to Snarry.

Ok so first, there was that Gaanaru fanart that I couldn't resist doing as they had a tarot card challenge and I do love my tarot cards. The Two of Cups was a failed experiment on a new coloring effect that I eventually achieved for the Compass but the idea was good and I still think the two of cups is the best card for the two in question.

Than the kakanaru com that I stumbled upon on LJ managed to pull me into doing kakanaru fanart they were restarting and so full of energy that you could just feel that it was irresistible. First, I did this little piece for Naruto's supposed birthday after seeing everyone else oh so excited. Than there was a little drawble testing out my new liners.

Recently I did this piece which has been building for a while. I like the coloring and that about it. The anatomy and lighting was way off and there is no depth to the thing on top of which I think I failed miserably at putting in the emotions that I wanted to convey after all Naruto's face and eyes was way way off. Though I suppose I like the orange curtains too. Good thing about this is that now I know never again to do my line work on the computer as it is so freaking to see any of your mistakes until it's way too late.

Um.. I suppose I should start listing my new year projects?

Well, I'd like to actually stick to my new wish to do birthday drawbles for people on my f-list (btw this is a hint to drop a prompt here if you'd like one as I've have very little idea what people want and I can't do Snarry for everyone or I shouldn't).

The one personal project that I'd like to start on but probably won't complete is a Snarry fanart for fanfic calendar that I'm toying with. I suppose probablem with that is I'd actually have to pick what fics I want to illustrate scenes from and for which months and than get permission for all authors. We'll see if I ever get the time or energy for this.

Other wise, I'd want to do Snarry Games again and probably Snarry_hols.
